Summary Report, Moore Oklahoma April 2014

The last day of a mission trip is always a happy/sad affair. All those who have participated in such a close team effort are sad to leave the great friendships that develop from working together for several days. It is a happy feeling to realize that something significant has been accomplished in helping victims rebuild. But then it is sad that, although progress is being made every day, it will be years before lives are back to anything like normal. We know that our small crew of able workers will not make a great difference in the big picture of disaster recovery. It is the combined effort by thousands of volunteers from churches, synagogues and mosques from all across the nation that will eventually bring order to this chaos. We at Westminster want to continue to do what we can to help in whatever way to rebuild lives after a disaster like Moore, Oklahoma. To this end, plans are being made for a second mission trip to Moore September 14, 2014. Mark your calenders.
